Five Finger Death Punch, like most bands, have their share of haters. However, if you must hate on the band via social media, bassist Chris Kael has one request: Be original.

In a recent interview with MetalShop (as transcribed by Metal Injection), Kael said of those that bash FFDP online, “I love it…. I get the s–t-talking. When I was a kid growing up, we didn’t have social media, and it was us talking to one another. This is just another form of talking to friends, s–t-talking bands and whatnot that you don’t like. It’s much easier to get on the computer and do it now and for people to hear that kind of stuff. So, I get it. I love it.”

Kael even detailed he loves the haters so much he often shares his favorite insults saying, “Talk s–t all day long. Bring it. Just be original. I don’t wanna hear the f—ing dumb s–t that I hear over and over again. Be original. Don’t be a hack. Get a chuckle out of me, and I do comment on them when it’s a good one. Like, ‘Oh, that one — that one’s good.’ We can make fun of ourselves. I f—ing get it.”

When they’re not having a laugh at their haters, FFDP is usually busy cranking out new music and taking that music on the road. The band’s ninth studio album, Afterlife, is due out on August 19 and is available for pre-order via here. The band wrapped up a European tour earlier this month but will returning to performing on August 19 stateside when their kickoff their tour with Megadeth, The Hu and Fire From the Gods.
