Foo Fighters Songs Have Re-Entered the Billboard Charts

Foo Fighters have two of their biggest songs back on the Billboard charts following the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert in London on September 3.

The two songs in question are “Everlong” and “My Hero,” which have re-entered four different Billboard charts. Each of the four charts are determined by a combination of audio/video streams, radio airplay and sales data. The biggest success for both tracks is on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart with “Everlong” coming in at number one and “My Hero” coming in at number three.

Next, “Everlong” and “My Hero” came in at numbers nine and 14, respectively, on the Hot Alternative Songs chart. On the Hot Rock Songs chart, “Everlong” came in at number 11, while “My Hero” came in at number 18. Lastly, on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, “Everlong” came in at number 13, and “My Hero” came in at number 21.

The potential of more Foo Fighters songs entering these charts is rather great. The band is releasing a new retrospective collection, The Essential Foo Fighters, on October 28. Additionally, the second Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert is taking place September 27 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. A number of the same names that performed at the London show will also appear at the L.A. show. Some notable different musicians appearing at the L.A. show include Sebastian Bach, Geezer Butler, Phil Collen, Joe Elliott, Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Krist Novoselic, P!nk, LeAnn Rimes, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, Chad Smith, Brad Wilk and Nancy Wilson.

As of publishing, there hasn’t been any announcement about the L.A. show streaming anywhere.
