The master of “ShockRock,” Alice Cooper returned to the Tropicana in Atlantic City for another night musical greatness and outstanding fun.
You could not help but feel the excited of the night right as you walked into the arena. Seeing the castle like tarp that covered the stage to the fans all dressed up show casing Alice Cooper’s long and historical career as a musical icon.
Then crowd roared as the eyes on the tarp started glowing in different colors and then the tarp dropped and the band fired up starting the show. Opening up with the great song “Feed my Frankenstein” Cooper walked out from a doorway center stage to huge screams and applause.
Moving into the second song “No More Mr. Nice Guy” the band kept the pace of a band 20 years younger. Playing classic mega hits “Eighteen,” “Billion Dollar Babies,” and finishing with the immortal classic “School’s Out.”
One thing was clearly missing from the band though. Earlier this year it was announced that long time guitarist Nita Strauss was no longer with the band and that Kane Roberts was rejoining with Cooper.
But even without Nita on guitar the band was definitely firing on all cylinders. And with a career spanning over 50 years, Alice Cooper still brings the shock and awe fans young and old have come desire, and clearly will for some time to come
