LISTEN: Kings of Leon Cover Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own”

Let’s be honest, the Phillies 2022 celebration song isn’t what we here in the radio world would call a banger. In fact, it’s kind of a sad song about a person who is watching (stalking?) their ex. The ex moved on, it’s time for you to do the same, bud.

BUT WHO CARES?! It’s our song now and we’re embracing it and embracing everything around it. Including this 2014 cover of the Robyn original that Kings of Leon rolled out during the promotional tour for Mechanical Bull.

If the Calum Scott version is too sad for you, and the Robyn version is too pop, then we suggest playing this version when the Phils crush the Astros this weekend. Here’s one more version to check out. The Followills jammed out to the tune live at Lollapollooza.
