Brian Johnson has long been a car enthusiast. In fact, the AC/DC singer loves cars so much that he released the book Rockers and Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir in 2011 about his affinity for cars. However, the last thing you’ll see is Johnson behind the wheel of an electric car.
In a new interview with The Telegraph, Johnson said of electric cars, “It’s not the future. They’re dirty. They’re going to be dirty to get rid of, too. Electric’s where it is because politicians want to look green in front of people. It’s all nonsense. F— ’em.”
On top of electric cars, Johnson isn’t very fond of politicians in general and told the outlet he’s never voted in a single election.
“People go, ‘Oh, well. It’s your fault then.’ I go, ‘No, no. It’s your f—ing fault for voting these cretins in,’” said Johnson. “What would happen if both the candidates got zero votes? Revolution, that’s what would f—ing happen. And we’d get the right people in.”
Johnson sure has some interesting ideas that’ll likely get fans talking. There are likely more interesting tidbits about him in The Lives of Brian, his latest book that just came out. In The Lives of Brian, Johnson delves into his life growing up in New Castle Upon Tyne, England. He also touches on his pre-AC/DC music career and finally joining the band following Bon Scott’s untimely death and recording Back in Black.
