Guns N’ Roses Suing Texas Gun Retailer Over Naming Issue

Guns N’ Roses is in the middle of a legal battle with a gun retailer in Texas.

According to City News Service, the band has filed a lawsuit against Jersey Village Florist which operates the online retailer Texas Guns And Roses. They allege Jersey Village Florist ” … selected and adopted defendant’s marks for the purpose of confusing consumers into believing that it was connected or associated with, or licensed by, GNR.”

Meanwhile, Jersey Village Florist’s attorney David L. Clark said in a statement, “There’s never been any confusion (between the band and the website) and they have no evidence of confusion.” He added, “This is an attempt to run up costs and burn us ou. Our client sells metal safes for guns and flowers, and have a one-stop website and absolutely no one is confused. Nobody thinks we’re the band or there is some affiliation. We will be fighting back.”

Other than the lawsuit filing, GN’R has not publicly commented on the legal matter.
