Metallica Announces Worldwide Listening Party in Movie Theaters for New LP

Metallica is heading to select theaters for a worldwide listening party for their new album 72 Seasons.

The new studio LP comes out on April 14, but fans can hear it the night before on April 13. Per a press release, “’72 Seasons’ will be played in full in pummeling surround sound, exclusively for cinema audiences worldwide—with every one of the new songs featuring its own music video and exclusive commentary from the band. The result will offer fans an unforgettable night as they experience ’72 Seasons’ first and fully on the eve of its April 14 release date.”

Tickets for the 72 Seasons worldwide listening party go on sale March 2 via Metallica.film. Fans can head to that website to sign up for updates on the event.

Two tracks from the album have already been released: “Lux Æterna” and “Screaming Suicide“. 72 Seasons will contain 12 tracks and clocks in at over 77 minutes.

72 Seasons is available for pre-save here, while physical copies are available for pre-order at Metallica.com.
