David Coverdale Gets a Haircut, Fans Defend Him From Haters

David Coverdale has seemingly rocked the same flowing locks for literal decades. Now, the Whitesnake singer has chopped off his signature hair, or it’s a very convincing filter/deep fake.

Coverdale shared a few new photos of himself via Twitter, and the Whitesnake Instagram shared a single headshot of him with a short hairstyle embracing his gray color.

The comment section on Instagram, in particular, was filled with not-so-friendly remarks not just about Coverdale’s hair but the alleged makeup he has on. One person said his makeup made him look like Queen Elizabeth II.

Despite the hate, plenty of fans came to the singer’s defense. One fan wrote, “What’s up with all these small-minded, evil comments? Show some respect. DC is a legend and a class act with more style in his little finger than most will ever have.” Another fan wrote, “People acting like men don’t wear makeup at photoshoots or movies and videos and stuff.” Another fan pointed out, “David posts all the time about loving and accepting us all as we are, wherever we are from. It seems a pity that so many ‘fans’ don’t seem to be able to return the favor. No judgment here – you are amazing David, and always have been.”

It is jarring to see Coverdale with short hair. Regardless of his hair length, he still looks better than many people half his age, let alone his own. Cheers to him for trying something new!
