Live Nation, the leader in live entertainment, has today announced it has acquired a majority interest in Clockenflap, a Hong Kong-based event organiser specialising in music festivals and concerts, and its flagship Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival, one of Asia’s best-known festival brands. The Clockenflap team will continue to curate, manage and produce its festivals and events, now with access to Live Nation’s unparalleled festival portfolio and resources.

its much-anticipated return over March 3 – 5, after a four-year hiatus, with a
sold-out event that featured world-class live performances from a diverse array
of artists including Arctic Monkeys (UK), Balming Tiger
(Korea), Bombay Bicycle Club (UK), The Cardigans (Sweden), Chai
(Japan), HYBS (Thailand), Leenalchi (Korea), Milet (Japan), N.Y.P.D (Hong
Kong), Wu-Tang Clan (US) and Yellow (Taiwan).
Founded
in 2008, the three-day, 30,000-per-day capacity festival takes place annually
at Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront Event Space. The festival has announced the
dates for its next edition, which will take place from December 1 – 3, 2023.
Clockenflap
also organises regular touring concerts in Hong Kong under the brand Clockenflap
Presents, with recent sold-out shows announced for Cigarettes After Sex
and Honne.
The
partnership between Live Nation and Clockenflap comes as events across Asia,
particularly in Hong Kong, are seeing a bloom in activity.
