Tool Joins Legendary Artists in Teasing New Festival Event

Tool is the latest act to tease a new festival event called Power Trip.

The band shared the clip below to their Twitter account. It’s the same clip shared by AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne.

As reported yesterday (March 28), promoter AEG Presents also shared this video clip.

The Twitter account for Power Trip (@Powertriplive) has few details. Its bio reads, “Revealed 3/30.” The link in the bio (PowerTrip.live) takes you to a page where visitors can sign up for newsletter/SMS updates.

Power Trip is the presumed rock/metal follow-up to 2016’s Desert Trip. That festival took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. from October 7-9 and 14-16. Its lineup featured the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young & Promise of the Real, Roger Waters and The Who.

Since Desert Trip featured six acts, it’s safe to assume another act is expected to join the lineup. As of publishing, no other artists have shared the teaser video from above.
