Corey Taylor is unleashing a ton of news on fans today (May 16) about his new solo album CMF2.

First, CMF2 — the follow-up to his 2020 debut solo album CMFT — is coming out on September 15. The album is currently available for pre-save and pre-order in physical formats here. Its lead single, “Beyond,” is a power, radio-ready banger that can be heard below via its post-apocalyptic video.

In a statement about the track, Taylor said, “I originally wrote it as an aggressive romantic song, but I’m also looking at it now as a kind of ‘come together’ song. Bringing the masses together and letting them know that I want my music to take them beyond what they may think about me. Maybe they’ve had a misconception about me. It’s not exactly a calling card, more like throwing the bat signal up and being ‘alright, let’s turn everything on its head.’ It’s almost a dual threat, because now I look at it from two standpoints.”

“Beyond” is available for streaming and download here.

On top of the release of “Beyond” and details on CMF2, Taylor has also announced a batch of solo U.S. tour dates in support of his new LP. His solo dates kick off on August 25 in Denver and wrap on October 7 with a set at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif. (A full list of dates is below.)

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 19 at 10 AM local time. Full ticket details — including information on pre-sale opportunities and VIP packages —  can be found at CoreyTaylor.com.
