Three Nights of the Hooters at Ardmore Music Hall [VIDEO]

Three nights: Friday May 12th, Saturday May 13th, & Sunday May 14th 2023… The Hooters just brought it each night!

As I said many times before, they sound better now than ever. They did 29 songs in two sets each night! They celebrated the new album Rocking & Swing and played a bunch of tunes from it, as well as some of their great songs from over the years. It’s staggering to think about the catalog of music that this band has been making since they brought their first song “Man in the Street” to Michael Tearson on MMR in 1980. He played it and (long before my time here, believe it or not) and this station was the first one to share this band’s music with Philadelphia.

Now on album number 6 (not including 3 live records they’ve put out over the years) the Hooters are ready for a very busy year. They leave shortly for Europe, and then they return to join Rick Springfield for their first national tour of the United States since the 90’s over the summer. That will also include a few stops as headliners in this area like in Quakertown and Cape May over the summer. Keep an eye on our Concert Calendar for local dates.

As I said when I introduced them each night at the Ardmore Music Hall this past weekend: they make music that makes us feel good. They remind us of what it is about the power that music has to bring us together. These beautifully crafted, upbeat, energetic songs have so much joy in them! Because of that, in my intro, I called them “Joy Generators”!

Their 3 shows over the weekend proved this. If you haven’t seen them yet, go to hootersmusic.com, get the new record, and make a plan to join them somewhere on tour this year. You won’t be disappointed!

Cheers,
Pierre
