Maynard James Keenan performed in drag during Tool’s headlining set at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Fla. last night (May 21.)
In the video below, Keenan can be seen wearing a blonde wig and fake breasts underneath a form-fitting top. Billboard further notes Keenan was also wearing “smeared red lipstick.”

Florida is one of many states that has passed various bills aimed at LGBTQ+ citizens. According to CBS News, Governor Ron DeSantis signed a number of bills last week directly impacting LGBTQ+ Floridians. Among them was a ban on minors from attending drag shows. Since Welcome to Rockville did not have any age restrictions, there’s a good chance a number of people under 18 were in attendance for Tool’s set.
As of publishing, there is no report on whether Keenan may be charged for his drag performance.
