Slash’s Explanation Why He Doesn’t Want a GN’R Biopic Makes Sense

Slash is definitely uneasy about the idea of a Guns N’ Roses biopic. His explanation of why makes a lot of sense.

The guitar icon detailed his feelings about a biopic project with Yahoo! Entertainment. While he doesn’t rule out there ever being a GN’R biopic, he doesn’t think one will happen anytime soon. Slash’s biggest concern appears to be having a film that captures what Guns N’ Roses was back in the day.

Slash says, “I mean, it’s one thing to try and find actors to represent the people in the band, but the other thing is all sort of theatrical depictions of life in the music scene and the everyday life of musicians and all that kind of stuff.”

He continues, “It’s always some fabricated, over-exaggerated bullsh*t, and it’s very rare that you see a movie that actually feels genuine … I’ve seen a lot of bad [biopics], and they freak me out.”

Fortunately, Slash has plenty to not be freaked out about, like his new solo album. He described the LP as “more blues-oriented,” and it’ll feature “a bunch of different singers.” Among them is Demi Lovato, who Slash just worked with on a new “rock version” of her song “Sorry Not Sorry.”

Slash kept mum about any other details. However, he did say the new album is expected to come out next year.
