Nickelback is the subject of a new documentary chronicling the band’s history, including the infamous amount of hate they received.
The trailer for Hate to Love: Nickelback can be viewed below. (WARNING: Contains some NSFW language.) The film by Leigh Brooks is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Screenings of the film are sponsored by the popular vacuum brand Dyson. Don’t think we didn’t notice the funny irony of a brand that literally sucks is sponsoring these screenings. (Of course, we kid because we love.)
Per the trailer, the film’s synopsis reads, “Nickelback is one of the most successful acts in music history — they’re also the number one band haters love to hate. This intimate portrait surveys the Canadian stadium rockers’ rollercoaster career.”
Nickelback is currently on tour in North America in support of their latest album, Get Rollin’. Their next show is tonight (August 1) in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena. A full list of upcoming tour dates can be found at Nickelback.com.
