Songs From Stormzy, Lenny Kravitz Among Barack Obama’s 2023 Favorites

Barack Obama has dropped the long-awaited list of his favorite music in 2023. The former president, shared his 28 favorite songs from the past year in an Instagram post, which included tracks from artists like Stormzy, Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion, Lenny Kravitz and Jon Batiste, among others.

Also featured in Obama’s 28-song selection are Indigo De Souza, Big Thief, Megan Thee Stallion, Burna Boy and 21 Savage, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves, 6lack, Brent Faiyaz, Tems, Karol G and Shakira, among others. You can check out the full list below.

“Here are some of my favorite songs from this year,” Obama wrote on social media. “Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.”

In addition, Obama also listed his favourite movies of the year, including The Holdovers, Blackberry, Oppenheimer, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Monster, Past Lives, Air, Polite Society, A Thousand and One and The Color Purple, as well as three films made by his and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground – Rustin, Leave the World Behind and American Symphony.
