Taylor Swift Passes The Beatles For Most Weeks In Top 10 Of Billboard 200

Taylor Swift has notched another chart accomplishment, this time passing The Beatles for most weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 in the last 60 years.

On the latest edition of the chart Swift has three albums in the top 10, which adds to her cumulative total of weeks in the top 10 to 384—across all her 16-top 10-charting albums combined. She’s in the top 10 on the latest list with three former No. 1s: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at No.6, Lover at No.7 and Midnights at No.9. Billboard has noted that though all three albums are in the top 10 in one week, they contribute three weeks to her overall total.

Since the Billboard 200 combined its separate mono and stereo album charts in August of 1963, Swift now has the most weeks in the top 10. She moved past The Beatles, who have a total of 382 weeks in the top 10 across their 32 top 10-charting albums.

Last we heard from Taylor was at the 2024 Grammys when she announced a new album while celebrating her Best Pop Vocal Album win for Midnights. During her acceptance speech she said, “This is my 13th Grammy. I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I want to say ‘thank you’ to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years—which is that my brand new album comes out April 19.”

The album will reportedly be titled The Tortured Poets Department. Swift shared the album cover on Instagram, which features Taylor on a bed, though her face is obscured. The image is also in black and white. Check out the post here. The caption reads, “All’s fair in love and poetry… New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19.”
