Jack Johnson has announced the newest crop of inductees to his All At Once Sustainability Awards family, in support of his wildly successful Meet The Moonlight World Tour.
The All At Once Sustainability Award was created in 2013 to honor venues, festivals, and promoters who excelled in sustainability initiatives and made every effort to meet Johnson’s industry leading Environmental Rider through waste reduction, plastic-free programs, energy conservation, climate solutions through touring, and more.
Additionally, Johnson will release a new re-imagined track, titled “Home (With Stick Figure): A Kōkua Collaboration,” on April 26. The song will be released in celebration of Earth Day and Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation’s 20th Anniversary. All proceeds will benefit Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation.
“Congratulations to the venues, festivals, and promoters who are leaders and innovators, taking action to reduce waste, support climate solutions, strengthen local food systems, and promote reusables,” said Jack Johnson. “Many music fans want to feel part of a sustainable music community. As an artist, I’m proud of these All At Once Sustainability Award winners for inspiring the music industry with their commitment to the environment.”
Last year, Johnson released his third live album Songs for Maui, a benefit album to support those who were affected by the Maui fires.
Featuring Hawaii’s own Paula Fuga and John Cruz, Songs For Maui is a ten-track collection of chart-topping songs recorded live on location at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater during Johnson’s special 2012 Hawaiian Islands tour.
In a statement, Johnson shared, “all our love is going to our friends and family on Maui right now. As we began to brainstorm ways we could support the community, we found tracks from an acoustic show from 2012 that Paula, John and I played at the MACC on Maui. While listening to the songs we thought back to the time we spent that spring, both on stage but also bonding with our Maui ‘ohana. We know it will be a long road ahead. We hope the positive energy from this show can carry on to help raise funds and support families in need. Aloha, Jack.”
