​Gojira performs at Olympics opening ceremony

Before any medals are handed out, the 2024 Olympics went metal.

Friday’s opening ceremony for the Paris Games featured a performance from French metal outfit Gojira alongside opera singer Marina Viotti.

According to the Olympics live blog, they played “Ça Ira,” a “famous song sung by French revolutionaries.”
