Band On The Run spawned the hit singles “Band On The Run” and “Jet” and went on to top the US album chart nearly six months after its release, ushering in a new era of post-Beatles success for McCartney. The Band On The Run reissue is a 2xLP package featuring the original album cut at half speed using a high-resolution transfer of the original master tapes from 1973 at Abbey Road Studios, as well as a second disc of previously unreleased “underdubbed” mixes. The LP1 tracklist mirrors the US release, which features the song “Helen Wheels.” Two Linda McCartney Polaroid posters are also included.
Wings recorded One Hand Clapping live at Abbey Road in 1974 for a documentary. This year the One Hand Clapping album was released for the first time, 50 years after its recording. The newly mixed 2xLP set includes 12 songs that did not appear in the film. The package also includes a bonus 7” called “The Backyard” featuring five previously unreleased solo acoustic tracks recorded in the backyard of Abbey Road Studios, as well as original artwork and a TV sales brochure created for the film.
