After sharing her rendition of “Almost There” earlier in August, Coco Jones is now sharing a music video to accompany her take on The Princess And The Frog track. Recorded as part of Disney’s “Create Your World” Disney Princess campaign, Jones channels Princess Tiana, wearing a white dress as she saunters around a ballroom that looks straight out of the original animated movie. The clip also features lyrics to the song trailing along the bottom of the frame—perfect for a sing-a-long—and also shows Jones performing into a microphone.

The Disney Princess “Create Your World” campaign aims to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams, look toward the future, and, in the words of Moana, see how far they’ll go. The campaign highlights Disney’s beloved princesses and their virtues, helping girls (and parents) use their imaginations to realize their potential. In addition to marking the 15th anniversary of The Princess And The Frog, the “Create Your World” campaign is also marking the anniversaries of 1950’s Cinderella, 1989’s The Little Mermaid, and 1995’s Pocahontas. In addition to musical releases such as this one, the campaign has and will continue to feature content for both theatrical and streaming releases, as well as toys and products.

The goals of the campaign have a particular connection to The Princess And The Frog and “Almost There” in particular, which establish Tiana as an active, hard-working figure set on making her dreams a reality. It’s a story that Jones herself can probably relate to. After spending years acting in Disney programming like Good Luck Charlie and Let It Shine, Jones began releasing her own music in 2022. Her second single from her What I Didn’t Tell You EP, “ICU,” has been certified platinum, and earned the singer a Grammy for Best R&B Performance at the 2024 ceremony. The honor was just one of her five nominations, including in the highly competitive category of Best New Artist. Clearly, this artist has a lot to look forward to.
