Arnel Pineda has revealed that he tried to withdraw from Journey’s currently running farewell tour on multiple occasions before it launched. In a conversation with Rolling Stone, the frontman admitted that he reached out to his bandmates to express his desire to retire from the road, citing a combination of vocal health struggles and intense personal family matters. Pineda explained that he felt he was an "emotional wreck" and requested more time to focus on his private life, but noted that his attempts to quit or renegotiate the tour schedule went largely unanswered by the rest of the band.

Despite his initial hesitation, Pineda is moving forward as the lead vocalist for the massive trek, which kicked off in March and is expected to continue through 2027. "Obviously, they don't want to find another singer," Pineda remarked regarding the lack of response to his retirement emails. As the tour continues into its North American leg this summer, fans can expect the band to stick to their established lineup, even as questions about the group’s future beyond 2027 remain.

Butcher Babies have returned with a high-octane new single and music video titled "Black Dove." Metallica’s non-profit organization, All Within My Hands (AWMH), has announced a donation of $125,000 to assist with flood relief efforts in Hawaii. The islands are currently grappling with what has been described as the worst flooding in over two decades, following a series of slow-moving "Kona Low" storms that caused an estimated $1 billion in damage. The grant is being distributed among three local organizations: The Hawaiian Council ($50,000), The Lāhui Foundation ($50,000), and Hui O He’e Nalu ($25,000). The Hawaiian Council has also pledged to match every dollar donated to its emergency fund up to $325,000, further amplifying the impact of the band's contribution.
