UMG Launches When We Were Young Festival Mixtape Generator

When We Were Young, the annual music festival presenting a mix of classic emo, pop-punk, metalcore, alternative rock, and more, will return to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20. Those traveling to the fest can create an ideal soundtrack for their journey using the new When We Were Young mixtape generator.

The mixtape generator will create a personalized playlist featuring artists performing at the fest. Fans can enter their travel details, such as the length of their voyage and their mode of transportation, and the generator will assemble a sequence of tracks to fit the exact parameters. It’s the perfect way to get in the zone for the big weekend: with a mix of some old favorites and maybe even a few songs you forgot about from your MySpace glory days, plus a selection of newer artists with a complementary aesthetic shuffled in.

When We Were Young is returning to Vegas for a third straight October, having established itself as the preeminent destination festival of its kind. This year’s lineup is heavily focused on artists performing their classic albums in full, such as My Chemical Romance doing The Black Parade and Jimmy Eat World playing Bleed American. The stacked bill also includes artists like Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional, A Day To Remember, Taking Back Sunday, Simple Plan, Pierce The Veil, Coheed And Cambria, Underoath, The Starting Line, New Found Glory, the Distillers, and many more.

The same lineup will perform each day of When We Were Young 2024, giving fans a chance to mix and match their experience at the festival from day to day. Prepare yourself to make the most of the weekend by loading up a playlist with the mixtape generator on your way to Vegas.
