New Edition has officially won the 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan vote, garnering over one million votes in a competitive ballot. The R&B pioneers finished ahead of a star-studded field, with Phil Collins, P!NK, Shakira, and Luther Vandross rounding out the top five. In total, more than 9.4 million votes were cast by fans worldwide during this year's induction cycle.

The top seven finishers—which also include INXS and Sade—will now form a collective "fan ballot" that will be tallied alongside the votes of the international voting body, consisting of over 1,200 artists, historians, and industry professionals. While winning the fan vote provides significant momentum, it does not guarantee induction. Other notable finishers on the ballot included Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, and The Black Crowes. The official Class of 2026 inductees will be revealed live on American Idol this coming Monday, April 13.

Howard Jones is bringing an '80s-inspired celebration to North America this summer with his newly announced "Things Can Only Get Better" tour. The 21-date run, which Jones personally curated, will feature full sets from fellow UK legends Wang Chung, The English Beat, and Modern English. Kanye West has now been barred from entering the United Kingdom after his visa request was officially denied by the Home Office. A spokesperson for the department confirmed to the BBC that the decision was made because West’s presence "would not be conducive to the public good." The ruling effectively cancels his scheduled performance as the headliner for all three days of this summer’s Wireless Festival in London.
The denial follows intense pressure from UK officials, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer and London Mayor Sadiq Khan, as well as Jewish community leaders. The opposition stemmed from West's history of antisemitic rhetoric, which includes selling swastika-emblazoned merchandise and releasing a track titled "Heil Hitler" in 2025. Despite a public apology published in The Wall Street Journal earlier this year and promoter Melvin Benn’s recent call for "forgiveness," the British government has opted to prevent the rapper from taking the stage at Finsbury Park.

Billy Idol has announced the next leg of his global tour, titled "It’s A Nice Day To… Tour Again!" Produced by Live Nation, the summer run of arenas and amphitheaters will kick off on August 7 at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The tour also includes a week-long residency at Las Vegas' Fontainebleau titled "Hot In The City: Las Vegas," running from August 28 through September 5.

The tour announcement follows the success of Idol's first full-length album of new music in over a decade, Dream Into It, which debuted at No. 7 on the U.S. Top Albums Chart. The record features contributions from longtime collaborator Steve Stevens, as well as guest appearances by Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart. Fans can also catch the new feature-length documentary, Billy Idol Should Be Dead, currently streaming on Hulu. Tickets for the new tour dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 10, at noon local time.

Chad Gray has opened up about the emotional weight of rehearsing Hellyeah material for his upcoming "30 Years Of Madness" solo tour. In a new interview with The David Ellefson Show, Gray admitted that revisiting the songs has been "really weird," as he hasn't touched the tracks in the seven years since the passing of legendary drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.
