In a new interview with Stan Bicknell, Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose opened up about how close the band came to calling it quits less than two years ago. Rose admitted that the group had gone as far as creating a "thick" blueprint for a farewell run and a final album before starting work on their upcoming fifteenth studio release, One. The drummer confessed that the prospect of leaving the Sevendust community behind was so overwhelming that he "cried a few times" during the discussions.

Ultimately, the band decided against "landing the plane" and instead shifted their mindset to touring harder than ever. Rose described the sudden change in direction as "putting the afterburner on," noting that he felt a sense of rejuvenation and a desire to "break some shit" once the retirement plans were scrapped. One is officially scheduled for release on May 1 via Napalm Records, produced by longtime collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette.

Platinum-certified progressive rockers Coheed and Cambria have announced a series of headlining performances scheduled for this spring and summer. These solo dates will take place during "off-days" from the band's massive tour with Shinedown, Black Stone Cherry, and From Ashes to New. A Los Angeles judge has granted Brittany Furlan a temporary restraining order against Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke, marking a significant escalation in their ongoing public feud. The heavy metal world's most notorious touring festival, Summer Slaughter, has officially revealed its 2026 lineup and itinerary.
