In a new video shared across their social channels, the band members individualy selected the songs they believe represent the genre's peak, with guitarist Jerry Horton and frontman Jacoby Shaddix both nodding to their own 6x Platinum staple, "Last Resort."

While Shaddix admitted his bias toward his own band's hit, he ultimately gave the crown to scenemates Limp Bizkit for their high-energy anthem "Break Stuff." Bassist Tobin Esperance reached back to the genre's beginnings, choosing Korn’s 1994 classic "Blind," noting that the song's legendary intro was unlike anything he had heard at the time.

Rounding out the picks, drummer Tony Palermo selected Deftones’ "My Own Summer (Shove It)." Despite the band's historical hesitation to be labeled as nu-metal, Palermo insisted the 1997 track is "up there" among the genre's greatest achievements. The picks arrive as Papa Roach continues to celebrate their own massive streaming success, with "Last Resort" recently joining Spotify's prestigious "Billion Club."
