Nicki Minaj has dropped a 10th anniversary edition of her 2014 album The Pinkprint. The anniversary edition includes four new songs: “Turn Yo Cap Back (feat. Swae Lee),” “If It’s Okay (feat. David Guetta & Davido),” “Arctic Tundra (feat. Juice WRLD),” and “Remember Me (feat. Parker Ighile).” “The Barbz have heard these songs before—due to their ‘sneaky leaks’ & sneaky links. However, the world didn’t hear them all yet & I love every single one of them,” Minaj wrote on Instagram. “I hope it feels nostalgic & magical to you.”
The Pinkprint is Minaj’s third studio album following 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The record explored more of Minaj’s personal life and was considered to be more emotional while still displaying plenty of the rapper’s humor and attitude. The Pinkprint features six singles: “Pills n Potions,” “Anaconda,” “Only (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown),” “Bed of Lies (feat. Skylar Grey),” “Truffle Butter (feat. Drake & Lil Wayne),” and “The Night Is Still Young.” Collaborations with Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Jessie Ware, Meek Mill, and others also appear on the record. The Pinkprint peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Minaj recently appeared on the posthumous Juice WRLD track “All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure).” Last year, she released her fifth full-length album, Pink Friday 2. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making history as Minaj captured the most No.1’s on the Billboard 200 by a female rapper ever. Pink Friday 2 included the chart-topping single “Super Freaky Girl,” a viral hit that samples Rick James’ 1981 single “Super Freak.”
Minaj recently announced that she will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Pink Friday 2 with Pink Friday 2 – The Hiatus, which is scheduled for December 13.
