Narrated by Kristen Bell, who will share the tale of how the Disney Parks kick off the most magical holiday ever, The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular airs on December 1 at 8:01 p.m. EST/PST on ABC and is available the next day on Hulu and Disney+.

The event’s hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will perform “Deck the Halls” / “Holly Jolly Christmas.” The event is produced by Disney executive and senior executive producer Sally Hopkins Conner for Disney Yellow Shoes Studio.

Elton John is set to perform his classic “Your Song,” for the Holiday Spectacular and while it may be surprising that he isn’t singing his own holiday classic “Step Into Christmas,” his presence on the special isn’t: Disney+ will be streaming his documentary Never Too Late starting December 13.

Earlier this month, Elton John and Brandi Carlile teamed up to release a new song called “Never Too Late.” The collaborative single was inspired by and written for the forthcoming documentary, which was directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish and explores the intimate and emotional exploration of John’s 50-year career. The documentary is currently screening in select theaters before it lands on Disney+.

Never Too Late was born in the summer of 2023, as John was wrapping up his record-breaking ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour and considering his future. Carlile saw an early cut of the forthcoming documentary and was immensely moved.

“It was really amazing to see historic footage of Elton and the trajectory of his life. But as fantastic and as beautiful as everything was that we were all witnessing as fans, his life was also pretty lonely and difficult at times,” she said in a statement. “And I thought that the documentary illustrated a really important sentiment, because he might not have ever found his serenity and his peace, but he did find it, and he found it later in life. And it is never too late – too late to find the love of your life, or to start a family, or to change your mind about anything.”
