Jon Bon Jovi participated in a “No Kings” protest in his home state of New Jersey on Saturday, March 28. The legendary frontman joined a local rally in Red Bank, where he was seen holding a sign opposing fascism and the current administration. The appearance marks a significant moment of local engagement for the singer, who has long been a vocal advocate for community and social issues through his Soul Foundation and various philanthropic efforts.

The Red Bank demonstration was part of a massive, nationwide day of action featuring non-violent, anti-Trump protests across the United States. Reports and images shared across Facebook and Instagram highlighted Bon Jovi’s presence among the crowd, joining millions of other citizens in what has become a global movement against federal overreach. His participation adds to a growing list of high-profile musicians, including Bruce Springsteen and members of Evanescence, who utilized the weekend to stand in solidarity with the “No Kings” movement.

Four-fifths of the classic 1980s King Diamond lineup have officially reunited to form a new band called Lex Legion. The group features guitarists Andy LaRoque and Pete Blakk, bassist Hal Patino, and drummer Mikkey Dee—the same core that recorded the legendary albums Them and Conspiracy. Joining the veterans on vocals is Nils K. Rue of Pagan’s Mind. The band has announced that their self-titled debut album is slated for a June 2026 release, with the lead single, “Sleep Eternally,” arriving on March 31.

According to LaRoque, the new material stays true to the spirit of the era but features more straightforward arrangements compared to the progressive nature of their past work. Mikkey Dee added that the songwriting process for Lex Legion mirrored their 1980s mindset of writing exactly what they wanted without outside influence. Pete Blakk described the record as a unique musical journey, suggesting it fills a current void in the metal landscape. While the album arrives this summer, the band is expected to begin touring in support of the project next year.

Amy Lee and Emma Anzai of Evanescence were among the millions who took to the streets yesterday, March 28, for the third nationwide "No Kings" day of action. While the flagship event was held at the State Capitol in St. Paul, Minnesota, the duo was spotted participating in a massive rally in Los Angeles. The protests were held in over 3,000 cities worldwide to demonstrate against what organizers call the "anti-democratic and illegal actions" of the current administration, specifically focusing on aggressive immigration enforcement and the war in Iran.

The presence of the rock icons adds to a growing list of high-profile musicians lending their voices to the movement. In Minnesota, the "flagship" rally drew an estimated 200,000 people and featured a headline performance by Bruce Springsteen, who performed his new tribute song, "Streets of Minneapolis."

Happy Birthday to the "Godfather of Alternative Music," Perry Farrell! The legendary frontman celebrates his special day today, March 29. From his early days with Psi Com to skyrocketing to fame with Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros, Farrell’s visionary approach helped define the sound and culture of the 1990s. Beyond his vocal work, his creation of the Lollapalooza festival in 1991 transformed the concert industry, turning a farewell tour into a global institution that continues to champion diverse musical voices decades later.

Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at the No Kings protest in Minneapolis on Saturday, delivering a powerful speech and performing a new tribute song titled "Streets of Minneapolis." The track was written following the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE agents in the city earlier this year. Addressing the crowd, Springsteen praised the resilience of the local community, stating that the solidarity shown in Minnesota has served as an inspiration to the entire country. He honored the victims by name, calling their sacrifice a reminder that "this reactionary nightmare" will not stand.

His participation in the rally comes just days before he is set to rejoin the E Street Band to launch their "Land of Hope and Dreams" tour at the Target Center this Tuesday. The 20-date trek will see the band traveling to major cities including Boston, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, continuing Springsteen's long-standing tradition of blending rock and roll with social advocacy.

San Diego Padres pitcher Mason Miller has officially brought the "nu-metal" energy to Petco Park, choosing Korn’s iconic 1994 anthem "Blind" as his new walk-up music. During his appearance for the team on Saturday, March 28, the stadium speakers blasted the track's unmistakable guitars and "Are you ready?!" intro as the All-Star closer emerged from the bullpen. The choice immediately resonated with the home crowd, creating a high-intensity atmosphere as Miller took the mound to shut down the ninth inning.

Jack Osbourne has shed new light on why a specific band was famously cut from Ozzy Osbourne’s "Back To the Beginning" farewell show in Birmingham. Speaking on Jamie Kennedy’s Hate To Break It To Ya podcast, Jack revealed the decision came after the unnamed group demanded "hard costs" in the high hundreds of thousands of dollars just to show up. Most notably, Jack expressed his frustration over the act’s insistence that their entire road crew fly business class—a demand he found particularly "insane" given that the event was a charity fundraiser where other artists performed for free.

Despite the behind-the-scenes friction, the historic 2025 concert at Villa Park was a massive success, bringing together Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Slayer, and Tool to honor the Prince of Darkness. The event officially raised over $11 million for charity.

Hayley Williams officially launched her highly anticipated "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party Tour" on Friday night at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. This trek marks the first-ever solo outing for the Paramore vocalist, touring in support of her acclaimed third solo record of the same name. Williams treated the sold-out crowd to an 18-song set that included a complete performance of the new album, with many tracks making their live debut. Highlights included a soulful cover of Nina Simone’s "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood" and a high-energy encore featuring Josh Scogin of The Chariot and Norma Jean for a performance of "Parachute."

The tour, which features support from Water From Your Eyes, is scheduled to run through North America this spring with multiple-night residencies in cities like Toronto, Boston, New York, and Nashville. Following the domestic leg, Williams will head to Europe and the UK in June, with stops including London's Roundhouse and the Paradiso in Amsterdam. Fans can also look forward to her upcoming festival appearances at the Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City and the Newport Folk Festival later this summer.

Jack White has issued a scathing response to the Treasury Department's announcement that Donald Trump’s signature will be added to U.S. banknotes starting later this year. Taking to Instagram, the longtime critic characterized the move as a lack of humility, sarcastically suggesting the president should put his face on the hundred-dollar bill next. White contrasted the "bloated" signature policy with the current economic reality of TSA agents who are reportedly going without paychecks and "selling plasma to pay rent" during ongoing federal funding issues.

In his post, White further criticized the administration's handling of surging gas prices and Middle Eastern crises, accusing the president of taking days off for leisure while workers struggle. To conclude his remarks, he playfully posited a hypothetical campaign to use black markers to line out the signature on new banknotes, utilizing the hashtag #redactedbanknotes. The rock musician questioned the double standard of legal accountability, asking if everyone is allowed to "break the law when they feel like it" or if the privilege is reserved for the president alone.

Oliver Tree has officially released his latest single, "Deep End," along with a high-energy music video that heavily references the aesthetic and vibe of Limp Bizkit. The track marks a pivot toward a nu-metal-inspired direction, featuring aggressive vocal deliveries and a heavy bassline reminiscent of the late 90s rap-rock era. In the self-directed visual, Tree sports a look clearly inspired by Fred Durst, complete with a signature red cap and baggy attire.

Black Label Society has officially released the music video for "Ozzy’s Song," the heart-wrenching finale to their new album, Engines of Demolition. Released today, March 28, the video serves as a visual eulogy for the late Ozzy Osbourne, featuring a collection of intimate, never-before-seen footage of the Prince of Darkness throughout their decades-long partnership. Directed by Justin Reich, the video intercuts these nostalgic moments with shots of Wylde performing the piano ballad in a dimly lit room, surrounded by memorabilia from his time in Ozzy’s band.

The release follows the song’s debut yesterday, which Wylde revealed was written in his home library while reflecting on Ozzy's passing last summer.
