Badflower frontman Josh Katz has shared an update from the hospital after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords to address years of persistent vocal issues.

Katz shared that he is currently on complete vocal rest for three days while waiting to see if the procedure successfully fixed the underlying condition:

“I’m not getting my hopes up yet cause I’ve done that too many times and been crushed. But I had surgery on my vocal chords yesterday after years of worseing voice problems and it’s possible they finally found and fixed the problem. Im on vocal rest for 3 days, cant speak. If im showing signs of improvement in 3 days ill come back to the world and fill you all in. If not, ill probs go back in hiding while i chase the next lead, but im not giving up. I miss singing so much. Thats the update on me. Again, not getting my hopes up. But for the first time in a LONG time im legitimately optimistic.”

He also gave a heartfelt shoutout to his girlfriend for staying by his side and supporting him through the medical journey.

His goofy little meows, yelling at us to go outside, him digging his claws in my arm cause he was so happy when I finally did bring him out. Rolling around in empty bathtubs like a goober. Playing with his favorite toy (balled up paper towels).”

Statica, the electronic alter ego project from the members of Avenged Sevenfold, has officially released lyric videos for all four tracks featured on its self-titled debut EP.

Originally surprise-released independently in July, the four-track, 18-minute effort explores uncharted sonic territory for the band, blending sci-fi synthesizers, electronic dance beats, and vocoded robotic vocal textures across its full tracklist:

"Ashes"

The project follows the band's standalone single "Magic" from late 2025 and the release of their 2023 studio album Life Is But A Dream…. The lyric video drop also follows the official Lance Drake-directed music video for the title track, which was filmed on location in Northridge, California.

Sharon Osbourne has publicly spoken out in defense of longtime friend Marilyn Manson, disputing allegations against the musician and claiming to have witnessed an incident firsthand involving one of his accusers.
