KISS Announce ‘Dressed To Kill’ 50th Anniversary Audio Tour

KISS is celebrating 50 years of Dressed To Kill in an immersive way. The band has announced a commemorative, one-of-a-kind audio tour in honor of the album’s anniversary.

Kicking off on March 22, it takes place in New York City at the sidewalk crossing on the corner of West 23rd St. and 8th Ave. The landmark is famous for being where KISS posed for Dressed to Kill’s iconic cover. The audio tour will be narrated by KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, as well as the cover’s photographer Bob Gruen. Fans will be able to walk through the same area that KISS did back in 1975 and hear rare stories about the gritty nature of the city during that time. There will also be a special KISS merch pop-up at the nearby Generation Records store.

The hard rock band (who are proudly from New York City) wants fans to celebrate both the album’s anniversary and their love for the band by re-creating the Dressed to Kill cover and uploading photos on social media with the hashtag #dressedtokill50. The first fans to utilize the hashtag will be gifted a limited-edition Dressed to Kill t-shirt.

The audio tour will also be available for free via KISSonline.com. Fans can sign up via the KISS Army where they can also share their homage photos.

Dressed to Kill was recorded at New York City’s famous Electric Lady Studios and released on March 19, 1975. Marking the band’s third album, it features rock classics like “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “C’mon and Love Me”.

KISS remains as active as ever: earlier this month, the hard rock legends announced the sixth installment of their Off the Soundboard collection. It includes a performance in San Antonio, Texas on December 3, 1985 at HemisFair Arena. Back in February, KISS celebrated the 50th anniversary of “Strutter” (the third single from the band’s self-titled debut album) with a pressing of limited edition playable gold records.
