LOOK MAMA THEY MADE IT! *Wipes away a single happy tear*
Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata of the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line released their debut studio album on December 23rd, 2022, just two days before Christmas. This highly anticipated album featured seven Christmas songs with some VERY impressive vocals (guys…who knew Kelce and Lane could SING like that??). The Christmas album is produced by Charlie Hall, drummer for the band The War on Drugs, and was recorded in July 2022.
If you managed to get your hands on this iconic charity album, you contributed to what we’re about to tell you. THE ALBUM CHARTED!!

A Philly Special Christmas hit the top 10 on four Billboard album charts, including a Number 1 re-entry on the Compilation Albums tally and a Number 9 debut on Top Album Sales. The album sold almost 11,000 copies in the U.S. according to Luminate – the largest sales week for a non-soundtrack compilation album in over two years. Nearly all of those 11,000 sales were digital downloads.
The album previously was available on vinyl and sold 3,000 copies between the weeks ending December 1-22.
These record sales raised $250,000 for the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center. Their first goal was to make just $30,000.
This is huge news for our favorite offensive linemen. These are NATIONAL charts! I guess a Christmas album sung by three huge football players had more national appeal than I gave it credit for.
This huge news comes just before a super important game for our Eagles. Their loss to the Saints last week means they still have not clinched the #1 seed in the NFC, which means the…Cowboys… still have a chance. As do the 49ers. The past two weeks have been rough, to say the least. Without key players such as our MVP Jalen Hurts and one of the stars of the Christmas album world, Lane Johnson, the Eagles have been suffering. We need this win against the Giants this week. To secure the bye in the first week of the playoffs, and the home-field advantage.
All we can do is hope that the Eagles see the same success on the field this Sunday as they did on the Billboard charts!
