Legendary Australian rockers AC/DC are far from finished. On Monday, November 3, the band announced new dates for their “Power Up” tour, named after their latest studio album. The tour will take them across South and North America, with stops in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Atlanta, South Bend, Toronto, San Francisco, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and more. Fans can expect to see the band perform in some of the largest stadiums in the world.
Tickets for the newly added shows will go on sale starting Friday, November 7. The tour will conclude on Tuesday, September 29, in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field.
AC/DC has been rocking for over 50 years. They played their first gig on December 31, 1973, at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. Their latest album, Power Up, hit No. 1 in 21 countries, and the band has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide.
Just how legendary is AC/DC? Their iconic album Back in Black is the best-selling album by any band ever and the third best-selling album by any artist, with global sales of 50 million and counting. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 and continues to sell out arenas and stadiums everywhere they go.
This tour features lead guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney. AC/DC’s music still hits hard, gets people moving, and sounds just as good blasting from a car speaker as it does shaking a stadium full of fans. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!
