Dave Evans has just released a music video for his new single, “Still You Keep Haunting My Dreams.” He shared on Instagram that the video was filmed in the beautiful José María Azaél Franco Municipal Cemetery in Tulcán, Ecuador. The stunning visuals include dramatic mountain landscapes, an active volcano, and a mountain lake, bringing the song to life in a powerful way. The track was co-written with Nicolas Robinson and recorded in Denmark, with production by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Flemming Rasmussen, known for his work with Metallica.
The cemetery, often referred to as the Park of Memories, is considered sacred by locals. Evans was the original frontman for AC/DC from November 1973 until September 1974, performing at the band’s first show at Chequers nightclub and recording their debut single. He left the band when Bon Scott took over in October 1974.
After his time with AC/DC, Evans joined the hard rock band RABBIT in 1975, which signed with CBS Records. They released two albums, Rabbit and Too Much Rock And Roll, before disbanding in 1978 due to lineup changes and touring challenges.
Since then, Evans has been involved in various projects, including DAVE EVANS & THUNDER DOWN UNDER in 1986 and several AC/DC tribute bands. He has released over a dozen solo albums, including Sinner, Judgement Day, and Revenge in 2013, featuring former Alice Cooper guitarist John Nitzinger.
Evans continues to tour across Europe and the United States, building a strong fanbase in Latin America. From 2024 to 2025, he will be on a world tour celebrating 50 years since AC/DC’s first show.
