AC/DC has released more tickets for the remaining dates of their Power Up tour due to high demand. They recently broke Ticketek’s record for the biggest single-day concert ticket sales ever. The band will perform in Sydney, followed by shows in Adelaide, Perth, and Brisbane through December. The two Sydney concerts at Accor Stadium are expected to draw around 150,000 fans.
Last week’s shows in Melbourne were a huge success, filling the stadiums and receiving rave reviews. Promoter Christo Van Egmond from TEG Van Egmond said, “AC/DC’s POWER UP Tour has already electrified Melbourne, and the excitement is far from over. After 10 years, the band’s return has brought high-voltage rock and roll, and fans across Australia can expect an unforgettable experience.”
Rolling Stone AU/NZ gave the Melbourne show 4.5 stars, praising the band for their energy. “After two-plus hours of rocking, AC/DC leaves it all on the MCG stage. There’s plenty of ‘High Voltage’ left in these old rock dogs yet.”
Tickets are still available for the remaining shows. The Sydney concerts are set for Friday, Nov. 21, and Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Accor Stadium, and they’re expected to sell out quickly.
Adelaide will host one show on Sunday, Nov. 30, at the bp Adelaide Grand Final. Perth will have two shows on Thursday, Dec. 4, and Monday, Dec. 8, at Optus Stadium. The tour will wrap up in Brisbane with two final shows on Sunday, Dec. 14, and Thursday, Dec. 18, at Suncorp Stadium. Don’t miss your chance to grab tickets before they’re gone!
