Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey is set to make waves this summer with the grand opening of Kaleidoscope Cove, its most ambitious and immersive exhibit in over a decade. Launching on June 28, 2025, this 2,000-square-foot gallery will transform the aquarium experience with vibrant marine life, interactive technology, and dynamic design.
Kaleidoscope Cove will showcase more than 100 aquatic species, including 10 to 12 never-before-seen at Adventure Aquarium. Instead of traditional displays organized by habitat, the exhibit groups rare and colorful species by their visual characteristics—think bioluminescent flashlight fish, flamboyant cuttlefish, purple-striped jellyfish, poison dart frogs, and fan favorites like clownfish and hippo tangs.
What sets Kaleidoscope Cove apart is its use of natural sunlight and custom lighting, turning the space into a living indoor kaleidoscope that shifts throughout the day. Guests will enjoy a multi-sensory journey, with highlights including:
- A glowing jellyfish gallery with pulsing lights
- Sea Star Shores, a hands-on touch experience
- The “Draw Alive” digital mural, where your sea creature sketches come to life
- An interactive light wall for creative play
- Imagination Sand Station, a responsive digital sand table
- Programmable lighting framing every tank
- A tailored soundscape and modular furniture for relaxation
The exhibit’s flexible design allows for evolving displays and digital animal IDs, encouraging return visits. Educational content explores topics like bioluminescence and the science of color in the ocean.
Adventure Aquarium members get early access and year-round admission, plus entry to special events like Mermaids and Fintastic Pumpkin Glow. Recognized as a top U.S. aquarium, Adventure Aquarium continues its commitment to conservation and guest experience.
