Aerosmith & KISS “Rocksimus Maximus” Tour Anniversary

We are just a few short days away from Aerosmith kicking off their “PEACE OUT!! Farewell Tour” here in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night September 2.

The Bad Boys from Boston, celebrating their 50th anniversary, bring with them another legendary band in The Black Crowes to help kick off the night throughout the tour.

August 29 marks the anniversary of the ‘Rocksimus Maximus’ & ‘World Domination’ tour stop at the (then) Tweeter Center in Camden with Aerosmith, KISS, and Saliva. It was one of the most anticipated tours of the summer of 2003.

Aerosmith was a couple of years removed from their last full-length studio album Just Push Play. They were readying their 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection Greatest Hits package that was due out in the fall of 2003.

KISS had just released KISS Symphony: Alive IV, a performance taken from the live album featuring the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. And, the Josey Scott led Saliva had just released their third studio album Back Into Your System in late 2002, featuring the hits “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx & James Michael penned tune “Rest in Pieces.”

It was a hits-packed night from beginning to end!
