AFI is set to release their twelfth album, *Silver Bleeds The Black Sun*, through Run For Cover Records on October 3rd. To celebrate, the band will embark on a 24-stop tour across North America starting September 30th.
The first single from the album, “Behind The Clock,” comes with a music video directed by Gilbert Trejo. Trejo shared that he wanted the video to give viewers a sense of witnessing something they shouldn’t, reflecting the way lead singer Davey Havok writes his lyrics. Havok praised Trejo’s work, saying, “Gilbert’s video has sublimated the essence of ‘Behind The Clock.’ His vision and expertise is inspiring.”
The tour kicks off in Madison, Wisconsin, with TR/ST joining as special guests. Fans can look forward to shows in major cities like Chicago, Brooklyn, and Boston. After stops in Atlanta, Dallas, and Denver, the tour will conclude in San Diego on November 5th.
The album’s tracklist includes: “The Bird of Prey,” “Behind The Clock,” “Holy Visions,” “Blasphemy & Excess,” “Spear of Truth,” “Ash Speck in a Green Eye,” “VOIDWARD, I BEND BACK,” “Marguerite,” “A World Unmade,” and “Noneunderground.” This marks AFI’s first major tour since their 2021 album, *Bodies*.
Before the main tour, fans can catch AFI at the Four Chord Music Festival in Washington, PA, in mid-September. They will wrap up the year at the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City in November.
Preorders for the album are available in various formats, including a special vinyl pressing for collectors.
