Alabama Shakes have released a new song called “I Feel Hope Coming.” It is from their upcoming reunion album, I Must Be Dreaming. Frontwoman Brittany Howard says the song is about holding on to hope. “This younger generation makes me feel hopeful because they can see through all the political lies,” she said. “That song’s about holding onto that hope, and refusing to give up.”
“I Feel Hope Coming” is the third song released from I Must Be Dreaming, after “Another Life” and “American Dream.” The full album arrives on Aug. 28.
Alabama Shakes released two albums before their break: Boys & Girls (2012) and Sound & Color (2015). They went on hiatus in 2018, reunited for a surprise show at the end of 2024, and then announced their comeback.
The band will start a U.S. tour on July 24 in Tacoma, Washington.
