Alice Cooper Describes His Experience Battling COVID-19: ‘I Lost 15 Pounds’

Alice Cooper described his experience with COVID-19 after he and his wife, Sheryl, contracted the virus last December.

Cooper told AZ Central, “We were wiped out. We didn’t have to go to the hospital or anything like that. But I lost 15 pounds. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat. Now, I’m feeling pretty good. I’m feeling like I’m at least 95%.”

Fortunately, Cooper said the virus didn’t have any effect on his ability to sing, but he did disclose, “After I got sick, I didn’t do any singing at all. Then after that, every day you feel two percent better. Then you get a little bit better, the next day a little bit better, until finally, you’re going, ‘Oh, wait a minute, I feel almost normal now.’”

He concluded, “But it does take it out of you. I mean, it’s like pneumonia. It takes a while to get your sea legs back under you.”

Cooper revealed he and Sheryl both battled the virus back in February in a video shortly after they received the COVID-19 vaccine through Arizona’s Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Alice and Sheryl reside in Paradise Valley, Ariz.
