At KROQ’s 2025 Almost Acoustic Christmas concert, Tyson Ritter, the frontman of the band, noticed trouble in the crowd and quickly stopped the show. A fan had collapsed during their hit song from 2008, “Gives You Hell.”
“Let’s stop the song,” Ritter said, urging the crew to halt the music. He called for an EMT and informed the audience that a girl had passed out. After checking on her, he lightened the mood by joking, “Tell me you weren’t looking for your fking purse.”
Ritter then offered to help the fan. “Let’s get you out of there,” he said, inviting her to sit on stage and watch the rest of the performance. He handed off his guitar and climbed down to give her a water bottle.
He asked the crowd for something sweet, saying, “We need Twinkies, some sugar. Anybody got any gumdrops? It’s fking Christmas time!” Fans responded by tossing Milk Duds and even a protein bar onto the stage. Event staff helped the woman move away once she felt better.
After confirming the fan was okay, Ritter asked if they should finish the song. With her approval, the band completed “Gives You Hell.”
The concert featured eight other acts, including Evanescence, Papa Roach, and Third Eye Blind. Proceeds from the event went to the Al Wooten Jr Youth Center and Para Los Niños.
This was the band’s final show of 2025. They have three concerts scheduled for 2026, starting in Kansas on March 14. They will also perform at Download Festival in the U.K. on June 12 and the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival on July 18. Fans can look out for ticket sales and tour updates.
