The All-American Rejects have just released their latest single, “Get This.” The music video pays tribute to holiday classics like Home Alone, Elf, and Christmas Vacation. This song is part of their upcoming album, Sandbox, which is set to drop in spring 2026. The video was directed by Alexander John and features scenes that reflect memorable moments from these beloved films.
Vocalist Tyson Ritter shared, “Little hooks will sit in your pockets like a lead weight that won’t shake out in the dryer. ‘Get This’ was a song born on a drive. It was made in the sunshine on the back porch of our family home. Pure fun like the company it was written around.”
“Get This” is the third single from Sandbox, following the earlier releases of “Search Party” and the title track. This will be the band’s first full album since Kids In The Street came out in 2012.
The band recently wrapped up a tour with the Jonas Brothers and finished their House Party tour, which brought live shows to fans’ backyards. They even surprised fans with a livestreamed performance at a Sheetz gas station in Pittsburgh.
Creating the video involved a lot of teamwork. Syndicate Productions took care of production, while visual artists, VFX specialists, and set designers all played a role in bringing the video to life.
“Get This” explores themes of longing and reflection, questioning whether revisiting past wounds is worthwhile or if moving on is the true gift. The band’s signature pop-rock sound complements the song perfectly. Fans are already diving into the lyrics and hunting for movie references hidden throughout the video.
