The Christmas decorations at WMMR studios are a sight to behold. Steve Morrison from the Preston & Steve Show once said it looks like “Liberace that has exploded,” and that’s spot on. There’s glitz, glitter, and holiday cheer everywhere you look. When the Elves came to decorate, Pierre Robert always said, “Always Tacky, Never Tasteful.”
This year, the MMR Elves, led by Head Elf Ryan Shuttleworth, embraced that spirit and went all out. Elves Gabby, Valerie, Eric, Shane, Giovanna, Olivia, and Caitlin transformed the studios and hallways into a festive wonderland. We think Pierre would be proud.
As we gear up for Pierre Robert’s Christmas Eve Spectacular, hosted by Matt Cord, here are some highlights:
Christmas Trees
In one photo, you can see two trees buried under a mountain of decorations. There are M&M lights, a deflated balloon, and even a snowball maker still in its wrapping. There are about eight trees around the studio that look just as wild.
WMMR Green Room
The Green Room is filled with holiday chaos from floor to ceiling. Look closely, and you’ll spot decorations hanging upside down or still in their packaging.
Hanukkah Hallway
Pierre always decorated the hallway to honor Hanukkah, remembering the late WMMR Music Director Sean “Rabbi” Tyszler. He was a proud Orthodox Jew who loved music.
Hallway Holiday Hope
The hallway leading to the Pierre Robert Studio is packed with stockings, lights, and even a Santa Boba Fett blow-up. The garland crisscrossing the ceiling adds to the festive vibe.
Shotgun Shells & Wreath
One favorite decoration is the shotgun shell lights and wreath in the Pierre Robert Studio. Pierre bought them during a memorable trip to G Boys in Marlton, NJ, in 2006.
WMMR wishes you a Happy Holiday and a fantastic New Year!
