Green Day is launching its own channel, Green Day TV. The channel premieres Thursday on the band’s YouTube.
Details are thin. The band shared a short social video that splices movie and TV clips to say, “Welcome to Green Day television.” What the channel will include is still unknown.
The launch comes ahead of the band’s movie, NIMRODS, which opens Aug. 14. The film follows three friends who set off on a road trip believing they’re opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The NIMRODS soundtrack is out now and features a new Green Day song, “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.”
