Amy Lee is back with Evanescence, releasing their new album, “Sanctuary,” more than 20 years after “Bring Me to Life.” This album features 11 powerful tracks where Lee channels her emotions towards various social issues. She explains, “The album addresses social issues that are unavoidable in our world. We can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond.”
The music is filled with heavy guitar riffs, creating a strong backdrop for Lee’s message. The final track, “Wide Open Heart,” emphasizes that the biggest fight is within ourselves. Lee shares her new mantra: “The biggest challenge is to hold on to my heart and our humanity, even when we have to be strong.”
She believes that compassion, empathy, and vulnerability are powerful. “Love is the most powerful force in the universe,” she adds. “Sanctuary” drops this Friday, and Evanescence will kick off their U.S. tour on June 11 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
