Of the six performer inductees, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, JAY-Z, Carole King and Tina Turner are all first-ballot inductees. Todd Rundgren will be inducted after being nominated three times (2019, 2020 and 2021.)
Of the five artists counted on the Rock Hall’s Fans’ Ballot, three of them (Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s and Tina Turner) will be inducted as part of the 2021 class. The other two artists on the Fans’ Ballot who did not make the final cut are Fela Kuti and Iron Maiden.
As previously reported, the Rock Hall is planning on an in-person induction ceremony with fans taking place on Saturday, October 30 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena in Cleveland. Tickets are expected to go on sale in July. The 2021 Induction Ceremony will air on HBO and stream on HBO Max at a later date.
