Ann Wilson: Hear Her Cover of the Eurythmics’ ‘Missionary Man’

Ann Wilson is, undoubtedly, one of the most iconic voices in rock. So, it’s a rather fun and bold move to cover the Eurythmics’ “Missionary Man,” which features another one of rock’s most iconic voices in Annie Lennox.

Embedded below, Wilson’s cover is featured on her upcoming solo album Fierce Bliss, which comes out April 29 and is available for pre-order/pre-save here.

As for why she chose to cover this Eurythmics track, Wilson said in a new interview, “I wanted to do a song that spoke to one of the things that’s happening in our country right now: The struggle between organized religion and what’s going on. We’re figuring out who we are now, and so, that song just came to mind. Then I thought, ‘Why not turn this into a great big production? How big can it get?’ So, we brought in Kenny Wayne Shepherd and it turned into a real nice big song.”

Wilson will be hitting the road in North America beginning May 4 in San Francisco. A full tour itinerary and ticket details can be found at AnnWilson.com.
