The thrash metal band will headline the venue’s new location and film the intimate concert ahead of a new album release.
Thrash metal band Anthrax has announced a special one-night-only concert on September 4 to headline the grand reopening of Saint Vitus Bar. The performance will take place at the venue’s new location at 428 Troutman Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, making Anthrax the first band to perform on its new stage. The band revealed that the entire intimate show will be filmed.
Saint Vitus Bar originally opened in 2011 before its previous location was shut down by the Department of Buildings in February 2024 due to a lack of live music permits. The upcoming performance comes shortly before Anthrax releases its 12th studio album, Cursum Perficio, on September 18 through Megaforce Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast in Europe.
