Anthrax Releases Their Most Intense Album to Date

Anthrax is set to release their 12th studio album in May, marking their first new music in ten years. Bassist Frank Bello confirmed the exciting news, saying, “The record will come out in May. I’m very proud. It’s so heavy. Some parts are really hard to play, which I’m happy to say because I like the challenge.”

The last album, *For All Kings*, came out in February 2016. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for new material, and the wait is almost over. Bello praised vocalist Joey Belladonna’s performance on the new tracks, stating, “Joey’s vocals are incredible. I don’t understand how he can still sing like that, but he’s killing it. If you liked our last two albums, I think everyone will be happy with this one. It’s been a long time, so thank you for waiting. We made sure it’s worthwhile.”

The band recorded parts of the album at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer Jay Ruston at the helm, bringing his extensive experience to the project.

Currently, Anthrax is on tour across North America with Megadeth and Exodus. The tour runs through March, with stops in cities like Victoria, Abbotsford, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, London, Ottawa, Halifax, Moncton, and Quebec City. After the North American leg, they will head to Australia, Japan, and Europe for shows throughout the summer.

Stay tuned for more updates as Anthrax prepares to unleash their new album!
