Get ready for an epic metal experience! Anthrax will headline the 2026 edition of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. This four-day adventure sets sail from Miami to Nassau, packed with 60 metal bands on the Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. The cruise runs from January 29 to February 2, 2026.
Tickets go on sale August 19 at noon EDT on the festival website. With only 3,000 spots available, they’re sure to sell out fast! Fans can enjoy performances on four stages, including the world’s largest open-air stage on the pool deck. This marks the 14th year of the cruise, which has sold out every year since 2011.
Founder Andy Piller believes that metal fans are some of the friendliest people around, despite the stigma attached to heavy metal. On this cruise, fans can relax in hot tubs near the Pool Deck Stage while catching their favorite bands. Each band will perform twice during the trip.
The lineup features Dark Tranquility, Eluveitie, Kamelot, and other heavy hitters like Skeletal Remains, Gama Bomb, and Harakiri for the Sky. More bands will be announced as the launch date approaches.
Fans will have the chance to meet musicians, participate in music workshops, and hear new tracks before anyone else. The “Jamming in International Waters All Star Jam” will mix artists onstage for unique takes on metal classics.
Prices range from $966 to $6,000, which includes a room, select meals, and access to all shows. Drinks and WiFi are extra. The cruise also offers fine dining, bars, and 24-hour room service. Don’t miss out on the world’s largest heavy metal cruise!
